• SOUND AND STYLE - THE XDIAVEL V4 EXHAUST: An audacious line, the aesthetic and technical brilliance of which is highlighted by the four-exit exhaust, on proud display. A great deal of work has gone into the sound quality. Together with the dedicated exhaust system, the Twin Pulse firing order of the V4 Granturismo produces that classic Ducati timbre.
• DISTINCTIVE LIGHT SIGNATURE: The front DRL with double C design has the typical Ducati naked shape and narrows towards the top, highlighting the sleek appearance of the front end and wrapping itself around a single bifunctional module that has a more aggressive and technical look, while also showing off the heat sink as a design element. The turn signals are integrated and create a blade of light that makes for a smooth, homogeneous look. The rear light is extremely sleek, allowing for a very low and agile tail. • FIVE-SPOKE RIMS INSPIRED BY MUSCLE CARS: The star-spoked rims are inspired by the world of American muscle cars and transmit a sense of power as well as visual lightness that, in the case of the rear wheel, is combined with the depth provided by the 8” section. The rear wheel mounts the impressive 240/45 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tire and is left visible, accentuated by the aluminum single-sided swingarm, another technical and style element that is profoundly linked to Ducati artistic canons.
• V4 GRANTURISMO WITH DEDICATED GLOSSY BLACK FINISH: The heart of performance, but also a key design element, the XDiavel V4 Granturismo is the only Ducati engine to flaunt a glossy surface finish. Its presence is highlighted by the cover with “V4” logo on the rear cylinders, which emphasize the technical uniqueness of XDiavel in the segment, while the cast aluminum subframe has a complex structure that accentuates the sense of movement side-on.

Electronic Riding Aid Systems

• ABS CORNERING: Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Cornering functionality acts as a function of lean angle, using data from the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), to increase safety when braking in corners.
• CRUISE CONTROL: Electronic system introduced by Ducati for the first time in 2014 on the Multistrada 1200 that allows you to automatically maintain the speed set by the rider without twisting the throttle.
• DUCATI BRAKE LIGHT EVO (DBL): System that flashes taillight and 4 arrows to signal hard braking to following vehicles.
• DUCATI MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM (DMS): Infotainment system for connecting the smartphone to the bike via Bluetooth, to allow the rider to manage the main multimedia functions of the mobile phone.
• DUCATI POWER LAUNCH (DPL): System that guarantees lightning-fast starts allowing the rider to concentrate only on managing the clutch release.
• DUCATI QUICK SHIFTER 2.0 (DQS 2.0): The DQS 2.0 allows the rider to shift up and down without using the clutch and evolves with respect to the previous system, doing away with the traditional lever with microswitch in favor of a direct mechanical lever. The electronic strategy is entrusted to the positioning sensor on the gear drum that identifies the gear engaged, offering the rider more direct feeling that is easier to repeat, less “rubbery” and with reduced travel.
• DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT (DRL): These are the daytime running lights that are used to comply with the obligation to use dipped headlights during the day.
• DUCATI TRACTION CONTROL (DTC): System that detects rear wheel slippage and automatically cuts power to limit or zero it, depending on the settings chosen by the user.
• DUCATI WHEELIE CONTROL (DWC): System that controls the wheelie and allows you to achieve maximum acceleration performance with ease and safety.
• EXTENDED CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (ECD): Shutting off the rear cylinders at idle when the bike is stationary, and the deactivation strategy extends to the entire rear bank even at low speeds, when the engine speed and torque demand from the accelerator are low.
• RIDE-BY-WIRE SYSTEM: Also known as electronic accelerator, it is a system that electronically manages the opening and closing of the throttle (s).

Electronics

• ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FOR A RIDING EXPERIENCE: The XDiavel V4 comes complete with a cutting-edge electronics package to maximize riding pleasure. From the TFT display to the riding modes, every detail is designed to offer control, safety, and a customizable riding experience wherever you go.
• 6.9” COLOR TFT DISPLAY WITH 8:3 ASPECT RATIO: XDiavel V4 uses the same 6.9” color full-TFT instrument with 8:3 aspect ratio and glued glass with optical bonding technology as the Panigale V4, improving visibility in all lighting conditions. With XDiavel, the dashboard offers a dedicated version of Road Info Mode, specifically redesigned to suit the cruiser world, more sophisticated and less sports oriented.
• HANDS FREE IGNITION: XDiavel V4 is equipped with the Hands-Free system for key-free ignition. Just move close to the bike with the electronic key in your pocket. At a distance of about 1.5 m, the bike will recognize the key code to allow ignition. At this point simply press the key-on button to turn on the display and start the engine. The system also involves an electronic actuator for the steering lock.
• CRUISE CONTROL: Cruise Control makes for more relaxing motorway trips. Activation is visible on the dashboard and the system can also be deactivated by twisting the throttle grip forwards.
• 4 RIDING MODES - SPORT, TOURING, URBAN AND WET: XDiavel V4 offers three Power Modes and four Riding Modes: Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet, thanks to which the rider can adapt engine delivery and riding assistance systems intervention.
• SPORT RIDING MODE: Sport Riding Mode is the most high-performance. In this Riding Mode, the XDiavel V4 unleashes its full 168 hp with a direct, spirited response. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control invention is reduced to a minimum, and the ABS, set to level 2, allows for controlled lifting of the rear wheel in order to maximize braking performance while retaining the Cornering function. The ideal choice for expert riders who want to really enjoy the performance of the XDiavel V4.
• TOURING RIDING MODE: In Touring Riding Mode, the XDiavel V4 still unleashes its full 168 hp, but delivery is smoother and more progressive. Higher DTC and DWC intervention levels make for greater controllability of the vehicle. The ABS is set to level 3, the safest and most prudential, thanks to rear-wheel lift detection, optimization of the combined braking, and the active Cornering function.
• URBAN RIDING MODE: In Urban Riding Mode power output is reduced to a maximum of 115 hp (Low Power Mode) with a particularly gentle and progressive response to effectively manage continual changes in surface. DTC and DWC are set to high levels, while ABS is set to level 3.
• WET RIDING MODE: Wet Riding Mode is designed for riding on low-grip surfaces or in wet conditions. This mode limits maximum power to 115 hp with a particularly gentle throttle response (Low Power Mode). The predefined level of the electronic controls is set to offer maximum safety, ensuring the best possible traction and stability.
• 3 POWER MODES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RIDING MODES - HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW: Each Riding Mode is associated with one of three Power Modes: High, Medium, Low. The High and Medium Power Modes both allow the V4 Granturismo engine to unleash its full power, or rather 168 hp at 10,750 rpm, with maximum torque of 126 Nm at 7500 rpm, but with different calibration of the Ride by Wire maps. High Power Mode, associated in terms of its predefined values with the Sport Riding Mode, is designed for sports riding and offers a direct and spirited throttle response. Medium Power Mode, attributed by default to the Touring Riding Mode, is characterised by a smoother and more progressive engine response to the rider’s demand for torque. Low Power Mode, associated by default with the Urban and Wet Riding Modes, is designed for riding on low grip surfaces, limiting the bike’s maximum power to 115 hp at 8750 rpm and maximum torque to 84 lb-ft at 5750 rpm, and offering a particularly manageable throttle response. Dedicated XDiavel V4 calibration ensures maximum correlation between the level of torque required by the rider and the level effectively delivered.

Engine

Powerful, torquey and incredibly smooth, it is lightweight and compact and offers exciting performance as well as linear delivery to suit every riding style. A masterpiece of engineering that stands out on XDiavel V4 for its exclusive glossy finish, which transforms it into a design element.
• V4 GRANTURISMO FOR THE FIRST TIME ON XDIAVEL: XDiavel benefits from the balance of the V4 Granturismo for the first time. Smooth at low revs, it is ideal for urban riding but boasts incredible power on the open road. With a twist of the throttle, the V4 engine delivers similar torque to its twin predecessor, but greater power. There is nothing like it on the road for riders who seek comfort, exciting performance and Ducati style. The reduced weight of this engine significantly contributes to the bike’s 6 kg weight saving with respect to the previous model.
• UNMISTAKABLE SOUND: A great deal of work has gone into the engine sound. The Twin Pulse firing order of the V4 Granturismo, together with the dedicated exhaust system with its classic Ducati timbre, results in a variation in exhaust tone when switching from one mode to the other. A deeper sound, with lower frequencies, when only the two front cylinders are activated, or higher frequencies when all four cylinders are in operation.
• COUNTER-ROTATING CRANKSHAFT: The V4 Granturismo is equipped with a counter-rotating crankshaft, technology derived from Ducati experience in MotoGP. This innovation “counters” the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, improving handling and riding precision.
• SMOOTH DELIVERY AT LOW RPM AND ELECTRIFYING TORQUE: The V4 Granturismo guarantees smooth delivery at low rpm and exciting torque at the top end. The exhilarating performance of the V4 Granturismo engine equates to 168 hp (123.6 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 92.9 lb-ft (12.8 kgm) at 7500 rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve. Perfect for riding in the city, and with incredible power on the open road. With a twist of the throttle, the V4 engine delivers similar torque to its V-twin predecessor, but greater power. There is nothing similar on the road for riders who seek something comfortable, with exciting performance and Ducati style.
• THE FIRST BIKE WITH V4 GRANTURISMO TO BE EQUIPPED WITH DUCATI QUICK SHIFT 2.0: XDiavel V4 is the first bike equipped with the V4 Granturismo engine to come complete with DQS (Ducati Quick Shift) 2.0 derived from the Panigale V4. The system, which allows the rider to shift up and down without using the clutch, evolves with respect to the previous version thanks to significant mechanical updates to the control pedal, which sees the traditional lever with Hall-effect microswitch swapped for a direct mechanical lever. This makes for a more aesthetically pleasing left-hand footpeg area, in line with Sport Cruiser canons.
• DEACTIVATION OF THE REAR BANK FOR REDUCED CONSUMPTION: This feature deactivates the engine’s rear cylinders, acting both when stationary with engine on, at traffic lights for example, and when travelling at low speed in particular conditions, to reduce consumption. As the speed increases, or as soon as the throttle demands a certain level of torque, the rear cylinders reactivate, ensuring all the character and performance of the V4 Granturismo.
• LONGER SERVICE INTERVALS AND REDUCED MAINTENANCE COSTS: The V4 Granturismo also has a positive impact on maintenance costs, which are reduced thanks to extremely long service intervals. An oil change is required every 9,000 miles or two years, while the valve clearance check is every 36,000 miles.

Key Characteristics

• 6.9” COLOR TFT DISPLAY: The 6.9” color TFT display is well integrated with the forged body of the handlebar and boasts optical bonding technology for greater visibility in all lighting conditions. The Road info mode has been specifically redesigned to reflect unique cruiser style.
• INCREASED RIDER AND PASSENGER COMFORT: XDiavel V4 ensures a relaxed and comfortable riding position. 30.3 inches from the ground, the spoon-shaped seat typical of a cruiser is made more comfortable with an extra 2.1 inches of foam with respect to the XDiavel 1260. Passenger comfort is boosted with a seat that is 30% wider, 50% roomier lengthways, and with foam that is 0.9 in thicker at the sides. The rear hand grip, provided with the bike, can be easily mounted on the tail section for a more secure handhold.

Wheel travel is 4.7 in at the front and 5.7 in mm at the rear, 1.3 in more than the XDiavel 1260 for increased rider and passenger comfort.
• COUNTER-ROTATING CRANKSHAFT FOR SURPRISING HANDLING: As on the MotoGP prototypes, the crankshaft is counter-rotating, meaning that it rotates in the opposite direction to the wheels. This compensates for the gyroscopic effect, ensures handling and agility through changes of direction, and reduces the tendency to wheelie during acceleration and braking.
• 1158 CC V4 GRANTURISMO ENGINE: The Granturismo is the V4 engine derived from the Desmosedici Stradale. Electrifying performance is guaranteed with 168 hp and 93 lb-ft of torque. • 240 MM REAR WHEEL WITH 5-SPOKE RIM: The single-sided swingarm draws attention to the rear wheel, which mounts the imposing 240/45 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tire. The rim's five spokes form a star, reinforcing the reference to American muscle cars.

• BREMBO BRAKES - PRECISION AND HIGH PERFORMANCE: At the front, the braking performance of the XDiavel V4 is guaranteed by Brembo brakes with Stylema® radial monobloc calipers activated by a PR16/19 radial master cylinder with integrated aluminum reservoir that acts on two 12.9in floating discs. At the rear, the 10.4 in disc is served by a two-piston caliper, also by Brembo.
